ARJ is a construction Principal Contractor formed in 1991.
In 2005 we changed status from a partnership to a Limited company.
The Company is owned equally by Andrew Holt, Sean Kneller and Steve Doherty.
We have a strong commitment to deliver a personal service. Turnover has grown steadily since 2005 reaching £55m in 2015-16 and expected to exceed £70m in the current financial year.
We focus on partnership and collaboration, underpinned by a desire to solve problems rather than just identify them.
We have dedicated buying, estimating, M&E co-ordination functions. We have ‘Connect’ an integrated management system. This is a cloud based system where we store and manage all project information from tendering through to handover and end of defects period in one central location. It enables us to deliver greater efficiency, control and visibility of our projects in real time.
We build and maintain strong relationships with our clients with over 90% of our projects coming from repeat clients and consultants.
We appreciate that the lowest price is not always the best price and ensure that all subcontract orders accurately represent the works required and are placed with reliable, tried and tested contractors with the resources available to complete the works to the required programme.
To complement our framework of bona fide subcontractors we also have a pool of multi-skilled tradesmen which enables us to undertake specific packages of work with our own labour, as required.
