Chase Farm Hospital, Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust
The scope of works sees: the formation of a new 173sqm decontamination unit based on a modular off site build design including clean and dirty decontamination area, ancillary accommodation, new service installation and link into existing TSSU department.
Our second project at Chase Farm Hospital saw the construction of a timber framed endoscopy department building. This includes all the specialist healthcare systems and accreditations.
The building is a four room JAG approved unit. JAG is a specialist endoscopy accreditation, which ensures the quality of the unit, including training and delivery. This unit has become a benchmark for other JAG accredited facilities.
The project was delivered in the centre of a very busy hospital, with numerous construction projects on-going. The site team managed to successfully re-route a main delivery route through the hospital grounds.
An excellent example of how we exceeded client expectation on this project was the issuing of weekly news bulletins to the Trust. This kept relevant stakeholders informed of the progress of the works and what to expect in the coming week. The bulletins were vital to the planning of other Trust activities and ensuring smooth continued operations of other construction projects at the hospital.
